Having different resumes for various positions is advice especially if you are multi-skilled or talented.In order for your resume not to be confusing, separate your skills and experiences and send only relevant information to the company that you are applying the job for. To avoid sending a wrong resume, save it strategically with a different name say resume_accountant or cover_accountant.
